  1. Hello Phil,

Ran across your site by accident, but a good accident it was.
I Like your gawker app, and the video’s you have made.
Haven’t downloaded Gawker, because my evocam app has a similar feature, but nice app just the same.
Does not look like you have posted in a while, and hope you get this comment. Hope you don’t mind, but I made reference to you and your software on my site.

Do you have a web cam set up? If so, drop me a link, and I’ll add it to my site. Thanks, and keep up the great Mac developement. AJ (Mac enthusiasts)

P.S. I have a good friend that lives downunder that helped me with my site…, his name is Phil as well, and the name of his company is…,

  2. Phil,

    Fun toy. Many thanks.

If you are looking for improvement idea it would be cool if Gawker could capture from all attached displays, not just the primary monitor.

  3. Hi Phil – is there any way to convert an mpeg file using gawker? I already uploaded the content using my troublesome JVC Everio HDD camera… iMovie doesn’t recognize the camera, neither does just about any other software…
    Thanks,
    Matt

  4. Dear phil,

I have a MacBook Pro. Gawker will work when I have an internet connection and Airport is turned on.

When Airport is turned off or there is no internet connection opening Gawker brings a message that says -

    “The application Gawker quit unexpectedly.

Mac OS X and other applications are not affected.

Click Relaunch to launch the application again.

Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple.”

The odd thing is, If I launch Gawker with Airport ON and an internet connection, and then turn Airport OFF, Gawker still works.

    Any advice?

    Thank you for Gawker

    Don Bancroft

I need to get my time lapse video imported into iMovie to trim it up for my 6th graders to view. It starts but then I get an “Error during import The file could not be imported: Unknown Error” pop-up window. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
I often import .mov files into iMovie with success.
    Thanks,
    Victor
